uncomfortably numb
July 20, 2006no there’s no sense of comfort
in being numb
its not easy
to get rid of your past
but when you’re numb in your head
you’re not very alive
you get a little dizzy
when you havent been thinking for a long time
no its not easy when you remember too much
its not very pleasing when you’re without memories either
sometimes
when you have been numb for a while
you get a sudden rush to feel
something
anything
anything at all
and you cant help but muse
its not very comfortable being numb at all
your brain-cells are getting thicker
your mind’s still floating in a senseless smoke
perhaps you need some sleep
perhaps you need a stroke of luck
perhaps you need to feel something
perhaps you need to live
perhaps you need to quit biding your time
and start living again
cuz being numb
is no fun at all
